Grace Onorato

Grace joined BBS Lawyers as an Associate in February 2026.

Grace graduated from the University of South Australia in 2021, achieving a Bachelor of Laws with Honours. Grace completed her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice in 2022. Grace was admitted to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor in the Supreme Court of South Australia in the 2022, and to the High Court of Australia in 2023.

Prior to joining BBS Lawyers, Grace practiced primarily in family law, but also has experience across various areas of law, including commercial law, wills and estates, criminal law, and personal injury. Grace has also undertaken work subject to grants of Legal Assistance from the Legal Services Commission.

Throughout her experience in the legal industry, Grace has been exposed to a plethora of diverse legal matters, both simple and complex. With respect to family law matters, Grace has experience in both parenting (including those with allegations of mental health issues, drug and alcohol abuse, domestic violence issues, and other risk concerns), property settlement/spousal maintenance matters, and divorce. Grace has a developed a sound grasp of complex property matters, including those with complex commercial structures and trusts.

Grace is experienced in negotiating family law disputes without the need for proceeding to litigation in Court. She takes a pragmatic approach and ensures her clients are given comprehensive legal advice to ensure they are well informed to facilitate the resolution of a dispute at the earliest opportunity where possible. Grace also has experience in litigation should it become necessary.

Grace is a staunch and empathetic advocate with a strong passion for the law. She takes great satisfaction in her meticulous and diligent approach.

Grace is a member of the Law Society of South Australia and the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia.
