Protect your children’s financial future with a legally binding Child Support Agreement

Child Support

Financial support for your children and their ongoing needs can be agreed or assessed by the Child Support Agency. Both parents have an obligation to provide financial support for their children. This applies to children of previously married or de-facto couples and even those who never lived together. In some cases this obligation will extend to others including step parents. Even if a parent doesn’t spend time with that child, they are still responsible for child support payments.

At BBS Lawyers, our role is to advise and assess your child support rights and obligations after separation, including payment of medical, private school and other expenses. We can prepare a legally enforceable Child Support Agreement for you, or review an existing Agreement.  We can also guide you through the Child Support Agency assessment and review process.
